The Exhibition
Sienna Creative House’s debut exhibition brought together independent practices from across Pakistan under a deliberately open curatorial structure. Instead of asking every artist to respond to one rigid thesis, the exhibition centered on polyphony — distinct voices retaining their individuality while existing together inside a shared cultural conversation.
The catalogue frames the exhibition as unfiltered, unbiased and accessible. Its merit-based selection challenges conventional gatekeeping by placing emerging and independent artists within the same visible platform, while allowing differences in medium, geography, training and artistic language to remain present rather than being flattened into one aesthetic.
Across the show, the works move through folklore, archival memory, psychological and domestic spaces, cultural geographies, classical heritage and hybrid media. The breadth is not incidental; it is central to the exhibition’s proposition.
The strength of the exhibition lies in letting difference remain visible — and giving the audience space to discover the connections for themselves.
Held in Islamabad from 12 to 19 September 2026, the exhibition also positioned Sienna as a platform-building initiative: one concerned not only with displaying work, but with widening access to contemporary art and creating room for independent artistic voices.

Curatorial Note
The curatorial note describes the exhibition as an attempt to create a democratic and unfiltered cross-section of contemporary art practice. Artists and creatives from different regions — including Islamabad, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Jamshoro and Karachi — are brought into a shared physical and conceptual space.
Rather than imposing a singular thesis on diverse bodies of work, the exhibition allows the selected practices to converse naturally across four intersecting thematic pillars: Archival Memory & Material Traces, Psychological & Domestic Spaces, Cultural Geographies, and Classical Heritage & Hybrid Media.
That structure turns the exhibition into less of a closed argument and more of an encounter: a place where viewers can move between differing materials, personal histories and cultural references while engaging with multiple perspectives.
The Team
The catalogue introduces the creative team behind Sienna Creative House and the visual language of its debut exhibition.
A visual artist, educator and curator based in Islamabad, Zaid trained at the National College of Arts and Beaconhouse National University. His practice explores identity, visual distortion, perception and pareidolia, alongside an exhibition history in Pakistan and internationally.
An interdisciplinary artist and creative director working at the convergence of technology and visual art. With academic backgrounds in Computer Science and Art & Design Studies, she established Sienna as an accessible platform focused on inclusive creative spaces and open exploration.
An Islamabad-based multidisciplinary artist and creative director working across visual communication, contemporary art, exhibition design and creative strategy. Her practice also engages visual culture, technology, perception and generative AI.
A Lahore-based designer and marketing strategist with a background in mass communication and visual campaigns. His work spans brand strategy, social media, event design and the public-facing visual identity of Sienna Creative House.
