“When a delicate balance between the human figure and adorned backgrounds is achieved, ordinary imagery transforms into magical realism.”

— Saqiba Suleman

Her paintings explore the pleasure of seeing, sensory awareness, and the relationship between painted bodies, floral environments, patterns, and emotional memory.

Artist Statement

My influences come from my sensory instincts — primarily touch and sight. Through these experiences, I have developed a fascination with patterns, textures, and floral backgrounds.

For me, painting is about the pleasure of seeing and becoming aware of the world around me while discovering an alchemy between paint, subject, and moment.

My work focuses on the interesting juxtaposition of figures and floral patterns, creating visual spaces where human presence, nature, ornamentation, and imagination coexist.
